On 15th to 17th of July 2009, Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) has organized National Youth Assemble with the theme of “coming in to action” as a national wide mega youth event and gathered more than 300 young people across the country and discussed on local, national and global youth and development issues from various aspect, Throughout the program every participant has  made an action plan, which aims to help and assist to the Youth and Sports Ministry, National Planning Commission (NPC), INGOs, NGOs and other stakeholders, who are working with youth and development issues.

In order to make this event successful, NYF has worked as a partner with AYON, UNFPA, save the children, and Peace for alliance, where NYF was responsible to coordinate and mobilized 30 youth volunteers during assembly. Beside that NYF has also contributed their time and energy in many ways including facilitating session, venue management, reporting and documentation, media coverage to make this happen.   

Many Youth Leaders, Youth Organization, Organization working with young people including AYON and NYF has marked International Youth Day (IYD) 2009 on August 12, 2009 with the theme of Sustainability; Our future, our challenge.
In order to celebrate IYD 2009, Many youth organization including AYON and NYF has successfully completed serious of activities including, youth rally (August 12, 2009), Blood donation ( August 12, 2009), Exhibition (August 12, 2009), Interaction  Program (August 12, 2009), Concert (August 12, 2009), where NYF was one of the responsible organization to organized this all events.
The rally was started from Maitighar mandala and end at Basantapur Dabali where more than 300 youth delegate were actively took part of the rally.
The program was an effort to unite the youth movements and bring together youth from various field to raise the awareness about the day, role of youth in Environment and Sustainability to strengthen youth advocacy in local, national and global level. 

Nepal Youth Forum has made enough effort to establish network within national and international level. During this year, Nepal Youth Forum has build a strong network with in National and International  youth organizations, International agencies, Dozens of I/NGOs and Bilateral Agencies as well as regional contact persons in country and other key stakeholders.
